Thong Sala to Mae Haad: why the route is simple but the travel day is not

Both ends of the ferry leg are easy to understand. Most mainstream services leave from Thong Sala, Koh Phangan’s main ferry hub, and arrive at Mae Haad, the main port on Koh Tao.

What varies is the transport around the boat ride.
